KTAR News’ Chad Benson Show crew gets spooked at Phoenix Fear Farm

Oct 25, 2019, 3:30 PM | Updated: 3:50 pm

PHOENIX — Do you think you could make it through Phoenix Fear Farm’s slaughterhouse or haunted corn maze?

The crew of KTAR News 92.3 FM’s The Chad Benson Show wanted to find out.

They started the night by speaking with general manager Zack Busse to learn how he started the attraction near McDowell Road and 99th Avenue.

“It used to be one giant corn maze 20 years ago, and we actually never put any thought into haunting it,” Busse told the show.

“So around Halloween season … we put masks on a bunch of kids and people really loved it. And so every year after that we just kept adding on and adding on until 20 years later, you get what you see here.”

The crew then faced crazed killers with chainsaws, evil clowns and murderous zombies. They failed to make it through the corn maze and accidentally exited back out of the entrance.

The farm’s other attractions include the alien-themed Bunker: The Arrival, Pumpkin Witch, Fallout and The Plague.

For those who aren’t keen on getting scared silly, the farm also offers axe-throwing, escape rooms and carnival games.

The farm is open 7-10 p.m. through Halloween.

Its last two days in operation for the season are Nov. 1-2, when it offers a special Blood Harvest attraction from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets cost $28-$33, with optional $10 fast passes and $20 skip-the-line passes.

We want to hear from you.
