PHOENIX — Drivers on Interstate 10 in Phoenix are in for a rough weekend of closures and lane restrictions.
In west Phoenix, eastbound I-10 will be closed between 67th and 35th avenues from 9 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for work on the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The eastbound I-10 ramps at 91st, 83rd, 79th and 75th avenues will also be closed.
Drivers west of the Buckeye area that don’t plan to stop in Phoenix can avoid the closure by using southbound State Route 85 to eastbound Interstate 8 to reach eastbound I-10 in Casa Grande.
It’s nearly the weekend, so here is our travel advisory for the greater Phoenix area. Look for a closure on I-10, with lane restrictions on I-10 and L-101. See the full travel advisory here: https://t.co/NAbDqBBitv pic.twitter.com/CVaT2iftNk
