Tempe police looking for man who robbed Alamo Drafthouse, stole car

PHOENIX — Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Tempe movie theater and stole an employee’s car earlier this month.
The suspect entered the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema near Baseline and Rural roads on Oct. 12 and brandished a black handgun at an employee, according to police.
Police said he demanded money from the cash register then stole the employee’s car, a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville with Arizona plate CNE5760.
The suspect is described as a 50-year-old man with salt-and-pepper hair. He is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 200 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a white hat, gray long-sleeved shirt and tan cargo shorts.
Police said he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be contacted if seen.
