PHOENIX — A Canada-based breakfast eatery is bringing its first U.S. location to Scottsdale next month.
The 2,900-square-foot OEB Breakfast Co. near Scottsdale Road and the Loop 101 Pima Freeway plans to hire nearly 50 employees.
Dishes will include a Nutella French toast with torched marshmallows, the Holy Crab Eggs Benny and the Hog & Scallops Poutine.
The eatery offers ingredients sourced straight from farmers, including eggs from pasture-raised hens, meaning the animals have space to roam on the farm.
“We care about where the food comes from and what happens to it before it hits the table,” Mauro Martina, chef and founder of OEB, said in a press release.
Martina first opened OEB in Calgary in 2009 and has eight locations in Canada.
“Breakfast means so much more to me than just the first meal of the day,” he said in the release.
“It’s about elevating the whole breakfast experience. That’s what OEB is all about.”
