PHOENIX — Los Angeles-based Mexican restaurant Toca Madera will open its first Arizona location in Scottsdale next week.
The 8,000-square-foot eatery will open Tuesday in Scottsdale Fashion Square near Camelback Road and Goldwater Boulevard.
The restaurant will have an open floor plan, a courtyard with greenery and moveable glass walls, creating “an indoor-outdoor experiential dining establishment,” according to a press release.
Among the highlights is a raw bar with options for ceviche and Mexican-inspired sashimi.
Other dishes include guacamole with plantain chips, sea bass tacos and Japanese wagyu beef served over hot lava stones.
“At our Scottsdale location, we want guests to feel as though they’re stepping into another reality,” Tosh Berman, CEO of hospitality team The Madera Group, said.
“From the sophisticated design to the theatrical spirit through which we serve food and beverage, every element has been precisely chosen to provide an unparalleled dining experience.”
The restaurant will be open for dinner Tuesdays-Saturdays and begin offering weekend brunch Nov. 9.
It will be closed on Mondays through the end of the year and on Sundays until Nov. 10.
