PHOENIX — Drivers on the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and Interstate 10 in west Phoenix will be hit hard by this weekend’s freeway closures.

Westbound I-10 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for work on the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Both I-17 ramps to westbound I-10 at the stack interchange and the westbound I-10 ramp at 27th Avenue will also be closed during that time.

Both Loop 202 ramps to northbound Loop 101 will also be closed from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

In Chandler, the westbound Loop 202 Santan and South Mountain freeways will be closed between Kyrene Road and the I-10 from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday for freeway construction.

On the other side of the I-10 in Ahwatukee, the westbound Loop 202 will be closed between I-10 and 40th Street from 4 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday for freeway construction.

Chandler Boulevard will also be closed in both directions at the Loop 101 Price Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday for bridge work as part of a freeway widening project.

The two westbound Loop 202 ramps to I-10 will also be closed during that time.

Finally, Interstate 17 will be closed in both directions at Happy Valley Road in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday for interchange reconstruction.
