PHOENIX – Queen Creek is expanding its use of solar energy with a deal to bring in over 1,000 solar panels for homes and businesses.

Operations to install solar panels in the town has already begun, Sunfinity Renewable Energy LLC, announced via press release.

The project will provide panels to residential areas and commercial and industrial businesses.

Due to the large scale operation, the renewable energy company is hiring in multiple positions.

According to Jonh Billingsley, chairman of Sunfinity, “Electric rates in Arizona were up, on average, 4% in 2018 vs. 2017.”

Arizona currently ranks third on the company’s list of states when it comes to solar energy adoption, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Sunfinity is headquartered in Dallas, but has also expanded its operations to California and Colorado.
