Chances are you have one at work and this thief may try to steal from it.

He’s been burglarizing them in Scottsdale and Phoenix since October 2006.

“He’s targeting something unique though – vending machines,” says Phoenix Police Sgt. Paul Penzone.

He says the suspect breaks in and takes all the cash.

“Fortunately, a lot of these vending machines are ahead of him because they have good video surveillance cameras in places where they can capture him on video.”

And the pictures of the suspect are crystal clear. In some, he’s looking directly into the camera. “In one of the pictures, you’ll see he’s holding a bundle of cash in his hand,” says Penzone.

In another, he has his head turned revealing a tattoo on the side of his neck. “Although we can’t identify exactly what it is, the location and design is probably familiar to somebody out there who may know him.”

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old. “He has an earring in his right earlobe and a tattoo on the right side of his neck.”

“He keeps his hair very short and appears to have a goatee or some kind of facial hair on his chin.”

Do you think your business is safe from the suspect? “He’s hitting vending machines in everything from hotels to private businesses in different areas as long as they’re accessible to the public at anytime.

Anyone with information is asked to call (480) WITNESS.
