PHOENIX – Two separate crimes have occurred that have one thing in common – robbery. The first is in the southwest Valley.

“This one occurred on Monday, May 18 at around 11 p.m. at a Circle K located at 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road,” said Phoenix Police Detective Mike Fischer.”

He says two guys walked in, pointed a gun at the clerk and then took off with tequila and lottery tickets.

“Suspect number one is described as a Hispanic, medium height, heavy set, a goatee and lots of tattoos. He was wearing a white tank top,” said Fischer. “Suspect number two was a Hispanic, average height and weight, wearing a Phoenix Suns jersey and black wraparound sun glasses. He displayed a black semi-automatic hand gun.”

The second robbery occurred in the Metro Center area in west Phoenix.

“This one occurred on Monday, Aug. 17 just after 10 in the morning at the credit union located at 33rd and Peoria Avenues,” said Fischer.

This sharp-dressed robber approached the teller inside the Credit Union West branch and said, “This is a robbery, give me all your money”. He got some cash and took off on foot.

“The suspect was described as an African American in his forties, average height. He was clean shaven with curly black hair. He wore dark sunglasses, a black suit with a white shirt and a red-striped tie with dress shoes,” said Fischer.
