A white BMW. That’s the only lead detectives have in a hit-and-run case that’s left a Mesa man with severe brain injuries.
It was about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009, “when the victim in this case, Eddie Davis, and a friend were walking in the area of 930 S. Dobson Road in Mesa,” says Phoenix Police Sgt. Paul Penzone. He says, that’s Dobson, north of Southern.
Penzone says a white BMW was traveling south on Dobson. “As they crossed the street, someone from the BMW made derogatory statements. The BMW then made a U-turn and began to chase down Eddie and his friend.”
The car caught up with Eddie, slamming into him “causing him to tumble over the top of the vehicle. It then fled northbound on Dobson.”
Eddie’s friend was ok.
