Arizona Museum of Natural History to host annual Beer N Bones event
PHOENIX — Craft beer, science and dinosaurs? What more could you want on a Friday night?
The Arizona Museum of Natural History in Mesa is combining all three in its annual fundraiser on Oct. 18.
Beer N Bones is a 21-and-up event that will benefit the museum. The proceeds from the event will be used for programs, research and updates to the Southwest Gallery, according the museum’s website.
The event features activities such as speed dating with scientists, where event goers can ask scientists questions. There will also be live animal and science stations.
A beerology panel will talk about the evolution of hops, how alcohol works with the brain’s receptors, the fermentation process, alcohol through the age and modern day brewing.
In addition to local craft beers, there will be wine, spirits, cider and soft drinks available. Short Leash Hotdogs will cater the event.
Tickets are available online for $20 or at the door the day of the event for $25, and they include two tickets to use towards food and drink. Additional food and drink tickets are available for $4 per ticket or $10 for three tickets.
