West Valley suburb seeks candidates for City Council vacancy

PHOENIX — A West Valley city is seeking applicants to replace a councilman who recently resigned.

Litchfield Park will be accepting applications to replace councilman Peter Mahoney until Oct. 25 at 5 p.m., according to a press release.

The council member will retain the position until January 2021, when the term ends.

Applicants must be 18 years old and be full-time residents of Litchfield Park for at least one year to be eligible for the position.

Applications are available at City Hall, 214 W. Wigwam Boulevard, and on the city’s website.
