PHOENIX – Two young sisters who had been missing from a Buckeye home for three weeks have been found safe, authorities said Thursday afternoon.
Rana Cox, 12, and her sister Rebecca Cox, 10, were found by officers from the Gila River Police Department.
The girls had been missing since Sept. 19, when they left a foster home near Interstate 10 and Verrado Way.
About a week later, police said the girls were avoiding being found but appeared to be well and possibly were being helped to stay hidden.
No other details were immediately available.
