PHOENIX — A ninja warrior gym billing itself as the first in Arizona is getting ready to open its doors.

Hitsquad Ninja Gym, located at 8945 S. Harl Dr., near the intersection of Warner Road and Priest Drive in Tempe, has set a grand opening for Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to its event page.

The gym is owned by Tempe resident Brian Rambo, who appeared on NBC’s obstacle course show “American Ninja Warrior,” and two others who appeared on the show.

It features an 18-foot warped wall and other obstacles from the show.

The gym will specialize in obstacle course training and NinjFit, a class that mixes high-intensity training, cardio and yoga.

Hitsquad Ninja Gym also plans to host birthday parties and private and corporate events.

The gym doesn’t yet have set hours of operation.

A two-hour session on opening day costs $10 per person, regardless of age.

We want to hear from you.
