PHOENIX — A Scottsdale-based movie theater chain is bringing one of its tasty snacks to stores.
Harkins Theatres is now offering its popcorn in select retailers across Arizona, the chain announced Wednesday in a press release.
The packaged popcorn is available in five flavors — movie theater butter, kettle corn, creamy caramel, cheddar cheese and white cheddar.
“We have been in the popcorn business as long as we’ve been in the movie theater business,” owner Dan Harkins said in the release. “We are incredibly passionate about our popcorn and are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this new product line to grocery and convenience stores.”
The popcorn can be purchased at Fry’s Food Stores, Bashas and Circle K locations.
The chain said it is using non-GMO corn, like in its original movie theater popcorn, in the packaged variety.
