PHOENIX — Banner Health has completed construction on part of its new hospital in Chandler that is expected to open next year.
The final beam of the exterior framing of the Banner Ocotillo Medical Center was placed Friday, according to a press release.
The hospital is on track to open in November 2020, according to the release.
The 240,000-square-foot campus is located on the corner of Alma School Road and Loop 202.
The four-story facility will offer imaging, surgery, labor and delivery, intensive care, gynecology, orthopedic, cardiology and gastroenterology services and an emergency room.
There will be 96 licensed beds and 24 observation beds to start, according to the release.
Banner Health Chief Operating Officer Becky Kuhn told KTAR News 92.3 FM last June that the number of beds could potentially grow to 175.
Investment costs in the building are expected to be more than $150 million.
