Mesa selling low-cost costumes, materials at weekly surplus sale

PHOENIX — The City of Mesa will be selling an abundance of fabrics, materials, costumes and clothing from theater productions at the city’s next surplus sale.
The sale, which takes place every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., will be at the City of Mesa warehouse near the corner of Power Road and Adobe Street.
Clothes and costumes will be priced between 25 cents and $2, while hats will be priced between 25 cents and $1.50.
Bags of different fabrics will be sold for 25 cents, 50 cents or $1.
Customer can also purchase a variety of craft supplies including wood pieces, styrofoam balls, beads, sequins, ribbons, trim and tape.
Adult and children’s books will be sold for no more than $1 and music fans can buy vinyl albums without covers for 25 cents.
If you would like to make a purchase from the surplus sale but can’t make it to the warehouse, items can be purchased on the surplus website.
Proceeds from the weekly surplus sale benefit the City of Mesa General Fund.
