Chandler police looking to identify attempted kidnapping suspect

PHOENIX — Chandler police are looking to identify a man who reportedly grabbed the arm of a fourth grader while she was walking to school Thursday.
Police said they responded to an assault call around 7:15 a.m. at Sirrine Elementary School at 591 West Mesquite Road.
The student said a white man in his 20s had approached her and grabbed her arm while she was walking near Arizona Avenue and Palomino Drive.
She was able to get away without injury and run to the school.

She described the suspect as tall, smelling of alcohol and wearing a black Adidas long-sleeved shirt, black pants and possibly gray shoes.
