Arizona Snowbowl chairlift now open for beautiful views of northern Arizona

PHOENIX– Autumn fanatics and visitors of northern Arizona can now take in the beautiful colors of the season, breathtaking views of the Sedona red rocks and the Grand Canyon from one central location.

Arizona Snowbowl is now offering rides on its chairlift from Friday through Oct. 20. (Update: On. Oct. 16, Snowbowl extended the chairlift season through Oct. 27.)

Guests can ride the chairlift from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Weather permitting, the chairlift will take guests to 11,500 feet, providing views of the fall scenery surrounding the resort.

Riders will also have the opportunity to have their questions about the region’s history, geology and volcanic origins answered by forest officials at the top of the ride.

Snowbowl is also offering a number of other family-friendly activities, including tubing, bungee trampolines, rope courses, treasure panning, disc golf and hiking.

Tickets for adults cost $19 Monday through Friday and $24 Saturday and Sunday. Kids ages 6-12 and seniors ages 65 and older can ride for $15 Monday through Friday and $19 Saturday and Sunday.

Children 5 and under can ride for free.

Guests can purchase discounted tickets online if the purchase is completed 24 hours in advance.
