PHOENIX — Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport announced plans Tuesday to temporarily close one of its runways in November.
The runway used for arrivals on the south side of the airport will be closed for maintenance from 10 p.m. on Nov. 1 to 7 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Flight delays could occur during peak hours, likely around 6-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 2, according to a press release.
Another runway on the south side and one on the north side will stay open during the closure.
The airport worked with the Federal Aviation Administration to determine when a closure would be the least disruptive to operations, according to the release.
Crews will be installing LED lights, replacing electrical cables, removing rubber buildup, touching up paint markings and repairing concrete.
