PHOENIX — The Arizona Governor’s Office is accepting applications for a vacancy on the state’s wildlife commission.
Applications for the Arizona Game and Fish Commission will be open through Oct. 14, according to a press release.
The commission is looking for applicants passionate and knowledgeable about Arizona wildlife and its long-term conservation, the release said.
The Arizona Game and Fish Commission establishes policy for the management and preservation of the state’s wildlife.
Currently, there are five commission members. They serve five-year terms and there can’t be more than one commissioner from a county.
Because of that, the vacancy isn’t available to registered residents of Gila, Maricopa, Pima or Santa Cruz counties.
Applications must be received or postmarked by 5 p.m. on Oct. 14.
Applications for the vacancy can be found here.
