PHOENIX — For the second consecutive weekend, Valley drivers won’t have to worry about many highway closures.

Interstate 10 is the only highway to have a full closure, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Westbound I-10 will be closed between 51st and 75th avenues in west Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday for work on the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange.

The westbound I-10 on-ramps at 27th, 35th and 43rd avenues will also be closed during that time.

In the East Valley, the eastbound I-10 on- and off-ramps of Wild Horse Pass Boulevard, State Route 347/Queen Creek Road and Riggs Road south of Chandler will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to noon Saturday for pavement sealing work.

The same westbound I-10 on- and off-ramps will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to noon Saturday for the same reason.

The freeway will also be narrowed to one lane in both directions between Wild Horse Pass Boulevard and Riggs Road from 4:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday for the pavement sealing work.

Also in the East Valley, the southbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

Drivers should also plan for on- and off-ramp closures at times along Loop 101 between the U.S. 60 and Chandler Boulevard this weekend.

In north Phoenix, 32nd Street will be closed in both directions at the Loop 101 Pima Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

Finally, the southbound Interstate 17 off-ramp at Seventh Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for a Valley Metro/city of Phoenix project.
