PHOENIX — A man was arrested in Lake Havasu City on Monday in connection to rapper Mac Miller’s overdose death in 2018.
Ryan Reavis, 36, was charged with fraudulent schemes, drug possession and weapons misconduct by a prohibited possessor, according to a city press release.
Local detectives worked with the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration to conduct a search warrant that covered a block in a neighborhood near the Colorado River, city officials said.
During the search, investigators found a doctor’s prescription pad, prescription drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
They also found a pistol, two shotguns, a firearm suppressor and “large amounts” of ammunition.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office took Reavis into custody. He was held on $50,000 cash-only bond.
Authorities did not specify why Reavis is suspected to be connected to Miller’s death.
The rapper was found dead at age 26 in his Los Angeles home last year.
An autopsy found that he died from an accidental overdose of a combination of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.
A Los Angeles man who was accused of selling Miller counterfeit opioid pills two days before his death was arrested earlier this month.
