Police arrest Chandler woman for allegedly false 911 call about shooting

PHOENIX — A Chandler woman was arrested early Monday morning after her 911 call about a shooting at a nearby residence revealed no emergency, according to authorities.
Jennifer Bryan, 39, allegedly called emergency services just after midnight to report somebody had been shot at a home near Price and Ray roads, Chandler police said in a press release.
Officers responded and broke into the residence but found no signs of a shooting.
They then moved on to Bryan’s residence, where they also could not locate an emergency.
Bryan told officers she did not make the emergency call but was arrested when the department’s dispatch center confirmed the 911 call came from her phone.
Officers said Bryan was heavily under the influence of alcohol upon her arrest, according to police documents.
Bryan was booked into the Chandler/Gilbert jail is facing one count of false reporting to law enforcement.
