Two Mesa museums offering free admission on Saturday

PHOENIX – Two Mesa museums will be offering free admission on Saturday.
The i.d.e.a Museum and Arizona Museum of Natural History will be the two Mesa museums to participate in the Smithsonian magazine’s Museum Day on Sept. 21.
Museum Day is an annual national event hosted by the Smithsonian magazine that provides free admission to anyone who presents a Museum Day ticket to participating facilities.
Tickets for Museum Day can be downloaded directly from the Museum Day website.
The i.d.e.a Museum is an interactive children’s museum that focuses on teaching children about science, technology, engineering,art and math.
Families can enter i.d.e.a from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is normally $9 per person.
The Arizona Museum of Natural History is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and ticket pricing ranges from $7 to $12.
Museum Day has participating museums in all 50 states. New York has the most participants with 115 while North Dakota has the least with 4.
The two Mesa Museums join 35 other Arizona based museums in the day’s festivities.
