ADOT seeks public input on potential SR 87 improvements
PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking the public’s opinion on potential upgrades for State Route 87.
The 59-mile stretch of highway connects metro Phoenix with Payson.
The department said Tuesday that people can take an online survey on possible improvements for the highway, including climbing and passing lanes, rock fall mitigation and traveler information systems.
The survey will be available until Sept. 30.
According to ADOT, no funding has been identified for the potential improvements but its study now underway will help officials consider what work should be prioritized.
