PHOENIX – A female former Phoenix middle school employee was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sending nude photos and videos to a student, authorities said.

Christmas White, 23, was booked on charges of aggravated luring a minor for sex and furnishing obscene material to a minor, according to a Phoenix Police Department press release.

Officers began investigating reports of a sexual relationship between the former employee and a teen student on Aug. 26, the release said.

Investigators found the nude photos and videos on the student’s cellphone, the release said.

In a statement to the media, the Paradise Valley Unified School District said White worked as a paraeducator at Greenway Middle School from Aug. 6, 2018, to May 10, 2019.

Her employment contract was terminated May 24, the district said, and she hasn’t been in a classroom since May 10.

The district also said she passed all background checks before she was hired.

“At PVSchools, our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our students. We take all allegations of misconduct very seriously,” the statement said.

The district did not specify White’s duties as a paraeducator.

The information in the media statement was also sent in a letter to district parents and guardians.

Greenway Middle School, which serves students in seventh and eighth grades, is located near Greenway Road and 32nd Street.
