PHOENIX — A West Valley man was sentenced to more than a decade behind bars after he pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, authorities said Wednesday.

Alan Dain Rodriguez, 37, admitted to prosecutors that he searched for, downloaded and watched child pornography videos, according to an Arizona Attorney General’s Office press release.

Rodriguez, of Litchfield Park, was sentenced to 11 years in prison and will have lifetime probation upon his release and be required to register as a sex offender.

He pleaded guilty to two felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor in July.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office investigators identified a computer in the Phoenix area in October 2017 that was sharing graphic depictions of child sexual exploitation online through a peer-to-peer file trading network, according to the release.

The computer, which belonged to Rodriguez, included an image of a child who doctors estimated to be less than 5 years old, according to the release.
