PHOENIX – Four Peaks Brewing Company is bringing back the feel of Germany’s Oktoberfest right here to the Valley.

There will be a copious amount of beer, too.

The festivities will take place at Tempe Town Lake and will begin Oct.11 and run through Oct. 13.

Oktoberfest serves as a fundraiser that benefits Tempe Sister Cities which is an internationally recognized non-profit charity founded in 1970.

All proceeds from the event are used to send Tempe high school students to 10 of Tempe’s sister cities.

The event is open to all ages and will feature live music, food and drinks, games, dancing and more.

The celebration of Oktoberfest will begin with a parade and an official keg tapping at 5 p.m.

The 2 Tone Lizard Kings and Black Bottom Lighters will be headlining the live music on the main stage that evening.

The fun will continue on Oct. 12 with the 28th annual Runnin’ for the Brats along with a soccer and volleyball tournament as well.

The Instant Classics and Wyves will be performing onstage during the second day.

Attendees can expect to enjoy a Bartles & Jaymes Sunday Brunch to go along with Sunday Funday deals until 8 p.m.

Sunday will also mark the return of the Dachshund Races and the performance of the Das Aubachtal Sextett group from Regensburg, Germany.

General admission is free and VIP packages are available. For more information on the event, click here.

We want to hear from you.
