PHOENIX — It wouldn’t be a special event at Chase Field without some limited edition food items.
Chase Field introduced its DRL Loaded Droneless Wings and Golden Heat margarita on Tuesday in advance of the Drone Racing League takeover on Sunday.
Need to wash all that down? We got you. Meet the Golden Heat, a 16 oz. margarita prepared with various colors to represent your favorite @DroneRaceLeague pilot and served in a souvenir shaker. Cheers! pic.twitter.com/i5fxqJMIa2

The Drone Racing League, in conjunction with Arizona Diamondbacks Events & Entertainment, will host the first official live U.S.-based DRL race in Phoenix Sunday.
“We are thrilled to be the first to host a Drone Racing League event of this caliber in the U.S.,” Derrick Hall, D-backs president and CEO, said in a press release. “With the formation of Arizona Diamondbacks Events & Entertainment last year, bringing unique, non-baseball events such as DRL to Chase Field is exactly what we had hoped to do.”
The event is part of the 2019 DRL Allianz World Championship season.
DRL is a global, professional drone racing circuit for elite pilots, according to the event’s website. Pilots fly drones through neon-colored gates at speeds up to 90 mph.
In order to navigate, pilots use First Person View goggles that show a live video feed on the drone. The video feeds are projected onto the jumbotron for the fans to see.
D-backs legend Luis Gonzalez will be at the event to take part in various activities.
General admission tickets for the event are $15. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
