PHOENIX – Downtown Phoenix has grown exponentially over the last few years, and is about to have even more luxury apartments.

Developers announced plans to break ground on a seven-story residential and retail complex that sits at Second Avenue and Fillmore Street. The 2.56 acre site will hold 323 apartments and a ground level of shops and restaurants.

Fore Property bought the property for $9,325,000 million.

Plans for construction to begin are slated for the first quarter of 2020 with the whole community being completed by the middle of 2022.

The community will feature studios, one and two-bedroom units, and a swimming pool and fitness center.

The complex will also have a rooftop deck that offers views of downtown Phoenix.

It is also located in close proximity to downtown’s central business district and several institutions, including, Arizona State University’s Downtown campus, Phoenix Biomedical Campus, and the University of Arizona School of Medicine.

The site is also located one block from a Metro Light Rail station.

The building was formerly home to the O’Neil Printing business.
