PHOENIX — A popular Valley brewery plans to open a new brewpub and an Italian restaurant in north Phoenix in the coming months.

State 48 Rock House is scheduled to open in January, the brewpub said earlier this month in a Facebook post.

Italian restaurant Osteria Mia will open its doors in December, according to its Facebook.

Both State 48 Brewery projects will be located at The Shops at Norterra near Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road.

State 48 Rock House will feature a 5,000-square-foot, dog-friendly patio with pingpong, cornhole, foosball and other bar games.

The brewpub also plans to feature live music at least three nights a week.

Unlike its other locations, State 48 Rock House will not have beer production on site.

It will be State 48’s fifth location. The first one was opened in Surprise in 2016.

Osteria Mia will be a full-service restaurant that will feature an “extensive” wine list.

The restaurant will have its own wood-fired pizza oven imported from Italy and offer daily entree specials.

State 48’s owners, Mario and Kayla Rana, will operate the restaurant.
