PHOENIX — A Chandler-based manufacturing company announced Tuesday that it will be relocating its headquarters in the Valley.

Isola Group has signed a lease for 118,000 square feet in a newly constructed industrial building near Kyrene Road and Loop 202, according to a press release.

“This is a consolidation of Isola Group’s two locations in Chandler to a new location in the west Chandler employment corridor,” Micah Miranda, the city’s economic development director, told KTAR News 92.3 FM.

Miranda said the city is excited to keep the company local because “it underscores our leading position in the semiconductor supply chain space.”

He said Isola’s move will add to the 28,000 jobs based in west Chandler’s employment corridor.

The facility is expected to open in multiple phases starting in October.

Isola manufactures materials used to create multilayer printed circuit boards.

The company has offices in Ridgeway, South Carolina, as well as Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Germany and Scotland.
