PHOENIX – A group dedicated to creating an alcohol-free nightlife experience in Phoenix is holding its first pop-up “bar” event Saturday night.
Cultura’s inaugural party, which has no cover charge, is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. at WayL.A. studios at 4130 N. Seventh Ave.
“It’s going to be an amazing event offering a fun nightlife experience, minus the booze,” Cultura organizer Jennifer Paschall told KTAR News 92.3 FM in an email.
The happening will feature live music from Howard Til Midnight plus a DJ.
While there won’t be any alcohol available, there will be fancy drinks. Four handcrafted mocktails created especially for the event will be sold. The Modern Tortilla food truck will also be on hand.
Paschall said Cultura is planning to hold monthly pop-up events and eventually hopes to open a permanent location.
“This event is for people that are looking for somewhere to go at night that isn’t a bar,” said Paschall, who co-founded a hair removal kit company that made a deal on “Shark Tank” in 2017.
“Somewhere to meet new people, listen to music and get out of the house and create a new culture, a way of having fun that doesn’t have to incorporate alcohol.”
