PHOENIX — An East Valley Harkins theater is getting a makeover this fall as part of the company’s $150 million remodel initiative.
The Santan Village theater in Gilbert will undergo remodeling beginning in September, the company announced Thursday in a press release.
The remodel will add new plush, electronic recliners in all auditoriums, state-of-the-art laser projection, reserved seating, an in-lobby bar and an updated lobby.
The theater will remain open throughout the remodel, according to the press release.
“As a Gilbert resident, I am especially grateful for the support we have received over the years from the community and am excited to bring these new luxury amenities to Gilbert,” Harkins President and CEO Mike Bowers said in the release.
The Arizona-based company earlier this month announced its plans for a new $32 million headquarters and retail campus.
The three-acre development will be located at the intersection of the Loop 101 and McDonald Drive in Scottsdale.
