Phoenix startup tops list of nation’s fastest-growing private companies

PHOENIX — A Phoenix-based startup was named the fastest-growing privately held company in the nation by Inc. Magazine on Wednesday.

Freestar, an advertising and marketing company, topped the list of the magazine’s 5,000 most successful private companies in the U.S.

According to Inc., Freestar has grown by 36,680% since it was founded in 2015, totaling $36.9 million in 2018 revenue.

More than 100 companies from Arizona, mostly based in the Valley, made the list. Some came from smaller cities, including Kingman and Lake Havasu City.

Phoenix-based financial services company Loanitik took No. 85, while Scottsdale’s Parsons Xtreme Golf and Centauri Health Solutions also landed in the top 150.

ITS, a Chandler logistics and transportation company, made it on the list for the 11th time, while FlexPrint Managed Print Solutions in Mesa had its 10th go-around.

To qualify for this year’s list, companies must have had revenue no less than $100,000 in 2015 and no less than $2,000,000 in 2018.

Freestar won’t have to travel far to receive its award. The Inc. 5000 Conference and Gala will be held in Scottsdale on Oct. 10-12.
