PHOENIX — Glendale police are looking for a man they say tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl Tuesday morning.

Police said the girl told them she was waiting for the school bus at 63rd Avenue and Golden Lane when she saw the man sitting on a white car in a parking lot.

He asked if she had a boyfriend and approached on her foot before grabbing her hand and waist.

The girl was able to get away.

The man was described as 19 or 20 years old with a mustache, scar on his forehead and tattoo on his right eyelid.

He has short, black curly hair and was wearing a dark gray T-shirt and white tennis shoes.

Police said he is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.

No vehicle description was given.

Anyone with information on the incident was asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.

We want to hear from you.
