2-year-old in critical condition after being pulled from West Valley pool
PHOENIX – A 2-year-old boy was hospitalized in extremely critical condition Tuesday after being pulled from the family pool at a West Valley home, authorities said.
Phoenix and Tolleson rescue crews responded to the incident near Buckeye Road and 83rd Avenue in Tolleson.
The child had been out of view from the family for about 10 minutes before 911 was called, Phoenix Fire Capt. Danny Gile said in an email.
When crews arrived, the family was performing CPR but the boy was unresponsive and not breathing.
Responders initiated advanced life support care and transported him to a hospital.
The incident was under investigation, Gile said. No other information was immediately available.
