Growing brush fire closing roads in north Phoenix

PHOENIX — A brush fire is growing and closing roads in north Phoenix on Sunday evening, authorities said.
The fire, named the Pinnacle Peak Fire, has closed Pinnacle Peak Road at Tatum Boulevard, according to the Arizona State Forestry.
The fire started around 5 p.m. and grew to between 50 and 100 acres by 6:30 p.m., the forestry said.

Phoenix fire said the flames aren’t currently threatening any homes or structures.
As of 8:24 p.m, Tatum Boulevard was reopened and Pinnacle Peak Road was expected to be opened by 9 p.m.
