PHOENIX — Meghan McCain will write and record an audiobook about conservatism and family, Audible announced Friday.

The co-host of “The View” will expand on “what conservatism can look like in the 21st century as she provides a blueprint for the nation’s future,” according to a press release.

McCain said in the release that the project will allow her to carry on the legacy of her father, the late U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

“As an heir of that legacy, I have the responsibility to speak out, now more than ever,” she said.

“This book, and this collaboration with Audible, enables me to do exactly that in a way that is both personal and accessible to as many people as possible.”

McCain said on Twitter that the book will not be available in print. She said she wants people to be able to listen to the book “on the go” at an affordable price.

The audiobook will be available in 2020, with more details on the title and release date to come.

McCain, a New York Times best-selling author, published her third book in 2012.

We want to hear from you.
