PHOENIX — A Phoenix man was arrested Monday after allegedly holding a room of teachers hostage and telling them he had a gun while running from police, authorities said.
Chad Jobe, 24, fled an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Bell Road at about 10 a.m. after police were searching for him for a felony warrant.
Jobe then entered an occupied classroom at nearby Northwest Christian School and told the teachers he had a gun.
Police then arrested Jobe, who was unarmed, in the classroom without incident.
Jobe was booked into the 4th Avenue jail for his felony warrants and kidnapping, police said.
