PHOENIX — West Valley, meet your newest butcher shop.
Off The Hook Meat Shop is set to open in Goodyear on Aug. 10, according to a press release from the Goodyear Economic Development Department.
The shop, founded by Goodyear residents Christine and Jim Ortega, touts itself as having “aspects of old-world charm with a modern industrial sleekness.”
It will offer USDA prime-grade meats, country pork and chicken products, beef jerky made on location and other meat products.
The shop plans to offer grilling and meat smoking classes at some point after its opening and to eventually expand the location into a steakhouse restaurant.
Off The Hook is located at the northeast corner of Indian School Road and Wigwam Boulevard in the former Ada’s Fish Fry restaurant.
