PHOENIX — An Arizona border town is one of the most booming cities in the country, according to a recent study.
GoBankingRates scored San Luis as Arizona’s top boomtown, which is rapidly growing both in business and population.
San Luis, in Yuma County, experienced the third-largest percentage increase in population over 10 years out of all the cities listed at 104.2% and 23.9% over the last five years, according to the study.
San Luis ranked first overall in the decade-long change in owner occupied housing units at 106.2%.
The city also had the largest 10-year percentage change in per capita income at 64.7%.
The study also said that Goodyear, Marana and Surprise are three other notable boomtowns across the state.
