Amber Alert issued for West Virginia girl; suspect vehicle seen in Arizona
PHOENIX — An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday morning for a West Virginia girl after her alleged abductor’s vehicle was seen in Arizona.
Gracelynn Scritchfield, 4, was allegedly abducted July 6 by her biological father in Fairmont, according to West Virginia State Police.
She is believed to be traveling in a gold 2001 Subaru Forester with West Virginia license plate 1TH163. The vehicle may also have two bungee cords securing the rear hatch door.
The vehicle was last seen heading eastbound on Interstate 40 in Holbrook.
Gracelynn has light brown hair and blue eyes. She is 3 feet tall, weighs 35 pounds and was last seen wearing “summer attire.”
Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Arlie Edward Hetrick III.
He has brown hair and blue eyes, weighs 140 pounds and is 5 feet, 9 inches tall.
Police said Hetrick may have shoulder length hair and sometimes goes by “Trey.”
Police said Gracelynn is believed to be in extreme danger.
Anyone who sees Gracelynn, Hetrick or the vehicle was asked to call 911.
