Flash flood warning issued for Gila Bend area until 11:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Maricopa County, including the greater Phoenix area near Gila Bend 11:15 p.m.

As of 7:47 p.m., radar indicated that rainfall had ceased but that up to two inches of rain had fallen since 6:30 p.m.
Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of Maricopa County.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks, streams, country roads, farmland and other low-lying spots.
Avoid walking or driving through flooded areas and move to higher ground.
