PHOENIX – An air-condition repairman died in a suburban Phoenix attic where he’d been working Thursday, first responders said.
ABC15 reported the worker, identified as Steven Ball of Mesa, had been in an Avondale home in the evening.
The homeowners said the technician had been upstairs for about half an hour. When they hadn’t heard any noise in that time, they went to check on him.
The customers called the fire department after they found him unresponsive next to the A/C unit.
Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene near Avondale Boulevard and Lower Buckeye Road.
The temperature reached 107 degrees on the day.
Police said the cause of death was under investigation.
