Tempe man arrested for alleged sexual conduct with 15-year-old girl

PHOENIX — A Tempe man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Charles Bond, 25, was charged with five counts of sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of aggravated luring of a minor.
In November 2018, Facebook forwarded a conversation between Bond and the teenager to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children due to its explicit content and their ages, according to court documents.
The Tempe Police Department then initiated a criminal investigation and obtained a warrant for the content of their accounts.

Police said Bond asked the girl for explicit photos and sent one to her before meeting her for sex.
During an interview with police, he admitted to knowing the girl because he was friends with her parents, according to the documents.
Bond said he did not know the girl’s age, while the girl said she told him she was 17, police said.
He is being held on a $25,000 bond and will appear in court on July 25.
