PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued an ozone health watch for the Phoenix metro area for Monday.
ADEQ recommends that people, especially children and adults with respiratory problems or heart disease, limit their outdoor activity.
They also advise to drive as little as possible and utilize carpool when available.
ADEQ also recommends limiting waiting in drive-thrus and using gasoline-powered equipment later in the day.
Ozone forms when vehicle exhaust and chemical solvents combine with heat and sunlight.
Phoenix’s air quality hourly forecast can be found here.
