MCSO: Man arrested following Fountain Hills bar shooting

PHOENIX — Authorities have arrested a man involved in a Fountain Hills bar shooting.
According to the Maricopa Count Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Christopher Charles Ruether was arrested for shooting and killing another man last Thursday at Bruno’s Bar and Grill in Fountain Hills.
Around 11:05 p.m., the two men were involved in a verbal and physical altercation inside the bar. When the altercation moved outside, Ruether then pulled out a gun, shooting the victim.
The victim, 28-year-old Matthew Dylan Gilmore, was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Ruether was booked into the Fourth Avenue jail on one count of manslaughter and one count of discharging a firearm in city limits.
No other information was immediately available as the investigation is still ongoing.
