PHOENIX — Plans have finally been revealed for the vacant building that used to hold the DeSoto Central Market in downtown Phoenix.

The 12,000-square-foot space at Central Avenue and Roosevelt Street in the Roosevelt Row Arts District will be renamed Track Club and feature a nightclub, lounge and patio, according to a press release.

The club will host ticketed shows for DJs and other performers three to four nights per week, and local musicians will perform in the lounge all week.

Track Club will open its nightclub and lounge this fall, with the remodeled patio and restaurant to come months after.

The entertainment space was cooked up by Chuckie Duff, a developer known for Cobra Arcade Bar and The Rebel Lounge; Thomas Turner, owner of dance music promoter Relentless Beats; and Damon Scott, founder of cocktail caterer Rattle & Rum.

Duff’s company EQ Properties purchased the 1920s-era building three months after DeSoto shut down in August.

“We’re very excited to finally come together with Chuckie and Damon on a project where we can create elevated experiences for our fans,” Turner said in the release.

“We’ve been searching for the perfect room for this concept, and with the DeSoto we found the perfect vessel to create a home for our fans, Arizona club-goers, and downtown Phoenix locals alike.”

We want to hear from you.
